The management of Anwar Ul Islam Girls High School, Ojokoro, Lagos has said that the SS3 students of the school were yet to resume because they had just fumigated the school’s environment and needed to put necessary things in place.

The Vice Principal of the school, Mr. Alabi Bode Nasir told Upshot Report on Tuesday that they told the students to stay back at home because they had just fumigated the school and that they wanted the odour to go before the student could resume.

According to him, we have just fumigated the school and we must ensure that the odour goes before our students resume. They will resume fully to school by Thursday.

It will be recalled that the Lagos State government had ordered the final year students of both secondary schools and technical schools in the state to resume on Monday 3rd August in preparation for their external examinations.

The West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) is scheduled to commence on 17th August, 2020.
