The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has declared that it has sufficient Naira notes to meet the cash needs of the banking public.
The apex bank was responding to claims that cash was scarce at deposit money banks (DMBs) and automated teller machines (ATMs).
In a statement made in Abuja by Dr Isa Abdulmumin, Director of Corporate Communications, the CBN blamed the issue on excessive withdrawals made by some banks from CBN branches and panicked bank customers.
