The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Abdullahi Ganduje received into the party 26 chieftains of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Abuja on Wednesday, November 1.
The defectors include the former national chairman of NNPP, Rufa’i Alkali, and 25 others.
Disclosing this in a post on its X handle, APC wrote: “The National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje received into the APC, 26 chieftains of the New Nigeria People’s Party, including the immediate-past National Chairman of the party, Prof Rufa’i Alkali and three governorship candidates.”
