A 20-year-old painter, James James, on Tuesday, appeared before a Grade l Area Court in Kabusa, Abuja, charged with breaking into a shop and stealing a chest freezer.
James, who resides at behind former Fortis bank, Kabusa, is facing three counts of joint act, shop breaking and theft.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Mr O. S. Osho had told the court that one Olufunso Olatunji, reported the matter at the Kabusa Police Station on Oct. 2
He said that the defendant broke into the shop of the nominal complainant and stole his deep freezer, stabilizer and other valuable worth N300, 000.
The Judge, Malam Abubakar Sadiq, admitted the defendant to bail in the some of N100, 000 with one surety in like sum.
Sadiq adjourned the case until Nov. 21 for mention.
