Lagos Lawmaker, Idumogu Endorsed As Apex Leader of Ndigbo in APC

The Council of Ndieze Lagos under the Chairmanship of Eze Christian Uchechukwu Nwachukwu – Igbo 1, on Friday endorsed Hon. Jude Emeka Idumogu, Member Lagos State House of Assembly and Chairman House Committee on Wealth Creation and Employment, representing Oshodi/Isolo Constituency 11 as the Apex Leader of all NDIGBO in All Progressive Congress (APC) Lagos State.

After Hon. Jude Emeka Idumogu spoke to them on the need for Ndigbo in Lagos State to reciprocate the friendship of the Yoruba People who had accommodated them politically especially in the past 20 years.

He regretted the unwarranted opposition of Ndigbo to the Yoruba ruling progressives in the State, especially during general elections. He had decided to work hard to pay back to the trust and favour bestowed upon him by Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu and the Progressives.

The Council members spoke their minds and mostly complained that there is urgent need to reorganise the leadership structure of Ndigbo in APC Lagos State. Eze Chris Offia of Ibeju Lekki elaborated more on the urgent need to get an articulate Igbo Man to lead Ndigbo in APC Lagos State.

Also Eze Guy Okoli of Ajeromi/Ifelodun LGA said he had worked closely with the two immediate past Governors of the state as an active party member but not satisfied with the leaders of Ndigbo and their interest in APC and mentioned the need for urgent reorganization of the leadership. Eze Kingsley Nwosu (White Sand) of Alimosho LGA specially requested Hon. Jude Emeka Idumogu to assume leadership of NDIGBO in the party if wants their more commitment to the party.

The President of Ohanaeze Lagos State High Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguele, who was the host of the Council of Ndieze in his office at James Robertson Street in Surulere, spoke on the prevailing need of Ndigbo in Lagos State to appreciate the friendly posture of Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sanwo-Olu to Ndigbo.

He said Ndigbo has more to gain from them. He promised to work with Hon. Idumogu now that he had decided to play the crucial role of Apex of Ndigbo in APC.
