•Commends Her Commitment To Women’s Cause
Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN, CON has celebrated Pastor Funke Felix Adejumo, wife of the founder and senior Pastor of Agape Christian Ministry Worldwide, Bishop Felix Adejumo, on the occasion of her 60th Birthday.
Governor Akeredolu, who spoke at the birthday service on Saturday, commended Pastor Funke Adejumo for her commitment to women’s cause.
The service was held at the Agape Cathedral, Possibility Ground, Akure, the State capital.
The Deputy Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa also joined the Governor to grace the event while members of the State Executive Council, led by the Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu, were also present.
Other dignitaries at the event were, Royal Fathers led by the Chairman, Ondo State Council of Obas and Deji of Akure, Oba Adetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi; National President of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Bishop Francis Wale Oke; Other Religious Leaders; First Lady of Ekiti State, Olayemi Oyebanji; Dr. Bola Are; Vice Chancellor of Elizade University, Professor Olukayode Amund; Wife of the Minister of Works and Housing, Mrs Abimbola Fashola; Professor Oluwole Akeredolu; among other dignitaries.
Governor Akeredolu led the congregation to launch the book tilted “Biography of Funke Felix – Adejumo, A Champion of Women Emancipation And Voice For The Voiceless.”
The Governor, while congratulating the celebrant, noted that she has impacted positively many lives across the world most especially womenfolk.
He said:”I am very happy to be here. No doubt, Agape is my Church. I always enjoy the warmth reception of this Church in your large number.
“We are here to celebrate Funke Felix Adejumo. We are celebrating what you have achieved up till now. People appreciate your sermon. People know how pungent and how sharp your voice is on causes for women. I am always inspired and I enjoy your preachings.“
In his sermon, the officiating minister, Reverend Gbaminiyi Egbota who spoke on “LEARNING FROM A LIFE HELPED BY GOD” noted that one of the ways to grow in life is to identify standards that can mould people’s lives.
Speaking on Governor Akeredolu, he said:”I have tracked his life since he was NBA President. I have found in this man a great fighter, a defender of his people. An advocate of Justice and truth.”
